Yellow Soccer Balls

This is the blanket I just finished.  I am not thrilled with the black edging, though I am not sure what other color I would have used.  I am color stupid.  Holes are poked with my edgerydoo, then a straight sc around 4 times, working in back loops only.  This is a Christmas gift.

Alligators

This is a toddler sized fleece blanket.  I used cotton yarn to edge it.  Another straight edge, single crochet, working in back loops only.  This will be going to Project Linus.

Pink & Brown

This pink and brown fleece has a pink straight edge.  Single crochet, worked in back loops only.  Putting all these blankets up online tells me that I need to branch out more, try new stitches!  It is a teen sized blanket that is going to Project Linus.

Orange Tie Dye

I never knew I liked orange, but the Caron Simply Soft orange is such a nice color.  Love it with this pink and orange tie dye fleece fabric.  I made the blanket as a teen blanket for project linus, but the kids seem to enjoy it on the cooler fall mornings.  In the last picture, you can see the stitches better.  The bottom row of stitches is the "front" side, when you single crochet through back loops only.  The top row is the "back" side.

Curious George

Another favorite!  This Curious George pattern is so fun!  Just another straight single crochet edge (last 3 rows in back loops only).  This blanket went to an internet friend for her toddler boy!

Kitty Fleece!

A kitty blanket!  In more ways than one!  The orange kitten was probably 10 weeks old in this picture.  And in less than a year, he is the biggest cat I own.  He is a HUGE orange tom cat.  With a lot of personality.  So much personality, in fact, that he drives us all nuts.  Oh, and he has allergies, and sneezes all the time.

The blanket is pretty self explanatory...  straight edge stitch in light and dark pink.  I know the edging doesn't look very fancy, but the straight single crochet stitch can be done easily around a house full of children, animals, and football. : )  This blanket was donated to Project Linus.

Thomas

Thomas the Tank fleece! These were the first two blankets I made with my edgerydoo. I love the multiple colors. For almost all of my projects, I use Caron Simply Soft yarn, with a G hook. These two blankets were a bit on the skinny side, so I gave them to an internet friend for her grandsons as "snuggle blankets".

Monkeys! My Fave!

I love love these red monkeys. The fleece was purchased at JoAnn's, and it came in either red or a dark blue. I went back to find more, but couldn't find any. Can't find any online either. I used my edgerydoo to poke the holes, then single crocheted + 2 chains for the foundation row. Row 1 used a straight single crochet in each sc and ch2 space. Rows 3 and 4 were single crocheted, in back loops only. This blanket will be going to project linus.
